 A) Conservative and Reformist Organizations

There are some very fine moderate conservative groups which are seeking to reform their Anglican provinces from within.  In Canada, the Anglican Essentials movement has issued a Declaration and works for the reform of the Anglican Church of Canada.  The Anglican Communion in New Westminster is a coalition of eleven orthodox parishes in the Canadian Anglican Diocese of New Westminster that is in broken communion with the bishop of New Westminster over the issue of his approval of same-sex union rites.

In the United States, the American Anglican Council has issued a statement of beliefs and is working towards both mission and reform within the American church.  The new Network of Anglican Communion Dioceses and Parishes is the new organization bringing together orthodox dioceses and parishes within ECUSA.  Connected with the Network, the website Communion Parishes lists bishops, clergy, laity and parishes from the Episcopal Church who wish to identify themselves as dissenting from the decisions taken at the 2003 General Convention which separated the Episcopal Church from the Anglican Communion.  The Anglican Communion Institute has produced a number of excellent, thoughtful essays on topics of importance to the current crisis in Anglicanism.  The Ekklesia Society is an American based international organization seeking to co-ordinate an international conservative coalition within the Anglican Communion.

Anglican Mainstream is an international organization mobilizing Anglicans from around the world to stop Western liberalism.

David Virtue's Virtuosity web site provides for conservative links and often controversial news commentary about the ECUSA and AMIA.  Orthodoxanglican.org is an online resource for traditional Anglicans, hosting some conservative web pages and links in support of Lambeth Conference resolutions.

Other conservative organizations are dedicated to charismatic renewal and the preservation of the classic Book of Common Prayer.  Renewal organizations include Anglican Renewal Ministries in Wales and Canada and Acts 29 Ministries (formerly Episcopal Renewal Ministries) in the United States.  The Canadian Prayer Book Society has an excellent web site with links to essays and one of the best unofficial collections of Anglican news.  The American Prayer Book Society and the English Prayer Book Society tend to be more conservative in nature.

Fidelity is a Canadian organization dedicated to promoting a Biblical sexual ethic in the Anglican Church.

Some more conservative organizations include the Anglo-Catholic Forward in Faith (North America) and Forward in Faith (England) groups which are opposed to women's ordination.  An older American reform organization, Anglicans United was a conservative organization, although it seems to have become dormant with the rise of the AAC.

B) Liberal Sites and Organizations

The Affirming Catholicism movement has both North American and British components and advocates a liberal Anglo-Catholicism.  Louie Crew's site provides a very comprehensive collection of links of interest to the Episcopal and Anglican churches from a very liberal perspective.

Integrity is the American gay lobby group attempting to change the church's historic standards on sexuality.  The Beyond Inclusion site is another homosexual lobby group attempting to change the church's traditional understanding of marriage and sexual ethics.

In response to the conservative response to ECUSA's actions, a number of insurgent liberal groups have formed in conservative dioceses.  These groups are attempting to thwart the conservative response.  They also support the repression of conservative clergy and parishes in liberal dioceses as evidenced by their support for a liberal bishop's attempt to forbid conservatives in his diocese from joining the American Anglican Council.  These groups include the Progressive Episcopalians of Pittsburgh, Albany Via Media, Concerned Episcopalians of the  St. Lawrence Deanery, Episcopal Forum of South Carolina, Fort Worth Via Media, and Remain Episcopal.

C) Non-Partisan Sites and Concerns

Some non-political moderate or conservative sites or web servers exist.  The Scholarly Engagement with Anglican Doctrine, which has recently merged with the Anglican Communion Institute, was an orthodox group based in the United States promoting a "dynamic orthodoxy" within the Anglican church.  Episcopalian.org hosts the sites of several conservative groups and provides international Anglican news links.  St. Peter Publications provides a series of links of a generally conservative nature.

Rock the World is a site targeted for young people with the goal of mobilizing young people and church leaders to call students to follow Christ.

The Alpha program, of British origin, is one of the leading evangelism tools in not only the Anglican Communion but also in other churches.  There is both an American Alpha and a Canadian Alpha page.  A clergy friend has put together a great website on church growth called Church Toolbox.  It contains information about evangelism, Alpha, marketing, etc.

National Organization of Episcopalians for Life is a pro-life organization within the Episcopal Church.  The Union of Black Episcopalians site provides links of interest to black Episcopalians.
